Amazon rivals are hoping to overshadow the hype around the Prime Early Access Sale with some big discounts today.

Target is starting the holiday shopping season early with a 10% discount on their gift cards for Red Card and Circle members. Being a deal editor for the last eight years, I don’t recall Target ever offering this discount in September.

Retailers are also discounting the Hisense U7H series ULED TV, though we believe this offer might end today since Best Buy and Amazon have it as their Daily Deals, and Walmart is probably price-matching them. This TV has many features you might expect from a mid- to high-range TV at a budget price and there’s a 100-day guarantee (see details on page) for those who are skeptical about trying it out.
